We are looking for a full time **Finance Apprentice** to join our team based in Normanton, Wakefield.

Principle Responsibilities include:

- Reviewing and authorising vehicle purchase payments.
- Assisting the TCBG finance team with accounting and administrative requirements.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Fulfil the learning requirements for the Apprenticeship qualification.
- Develop strong relationships across the business.

Duties include:

- Liase with Sales Support colleagues to work seamlessly together on executing vehicle purchase payments.
- Perform vehicle payment checks to the expected level of diligence, escalating any cause for concern.
- Ensure a timely turnaround for the execution of all payments to customers via online banking, adhering to all company processes and policies and in-line with contractual agreements.
- Deal with queries, providing a prompt response and an exceptional level of customer service at all times.
- Perform administrative tasks with a high level of accuracy and detail, such as requesting and collating supplier statements and processing invoices.
- Responding promptly to all escalated queries from peers, in relation to accounting queries.
- Monitor our designated inbox on a daily basis.
- Experience aspects of management accounting, financial accounting and treasury.
- Any other duties that may be required from time to time and that the employee may reasonably be asked to undertake.
- Ensure that all records are accurate & compliant with GDPR at all times.
- Take responsibility for investigating and correcting any discrepancies.
- Meet all deadlines in relation to the Apprenticeship qualification.
- Seek out guidance & feedback at every opportunity, to allow the best possible results.
- Ensure regular progress discussions with line manager and tutor.
- Develop your knowledge and capabilities to undertake the role.
- Engage well with key stakeholders.
- Work as part of a team to meet the business needs.
- Provide an exceptional level of customer service.

Skills/Experience:

- Strong attention to detail.
- Good organisational and administration skills.
- Good communication skills, both orally and written.
- Ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and excel.
- Keen to progress a career in finance.

As part of the apprenticeship you will complete a AAT qualification. Your college work will mean attending online learning and the learning aspect will occupy 20% of your employed time with the rest spent learning on the job and supporting the team.

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. £12,438.40 per annum with a increase upon completion of the apprenticeship.
