Title: Technical Team Lead (PHP)
Company: A collaborative and rewarding communications and digital agency with clients across a variety of industries, delivering strategic communication campaigns, digital solutions, film and video, events and exhibitions and other projects along the way.

**Salary**: £50k - £60k
Location: Manchester/London - Fully Remote
The Role:
Your key duties and responsibilities will include:

- Leading your project team through the delivery of multiple projects.
- Guiding teams technically and helping them to design solutions that work well.
- Ensuring the team works to internal standards and sets the technical bar.
- Acting as a mentor and coach for software engineers in the team, helping them to improve as developers.
- Playing a part in understanding client requirements, then working with them to design a solution.
- Dealing with obstructions and blockers preventing implementation within the production team.
- Attending briefings and debriefings when necessary.
About You:
You're a strong team player who really cares about the people that you work with. You've already had experience leading a technical team and have mentored individuals and made decisions that have helped your team succeed.
Thinking on your feet comes naturally and you always look for creative solutions to any problem that comes your way. You stay calm under pressure and have the ability to be able to utilise these skills when managing people and owning technical projects. Youtake ownership of projects from conception through to launch and stay organised for the whole journey.
You're a proven senior engineer, but you're not afraid to ask for help if you need it. Most importantly, you know how to encourage contributions from your team and get the very best out of
them.
- A good solid technical understanding of PHP 7 & 8, Laravel (though experience with other PHP frameworks also acceptable), Git/version control and CI, plus MySql, RDBMB and NoSql persistence stores.
- Familiarity with object-oriented design, design patterns and best practices.
- Knowledge of secure design and standards.
- Debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of automated testing and TDD, as well as HTTP and Web Services.
- Ability to work in a team and on your own.
