Bayside Recruitment are looking for a transport clerk on a temporary ongoing basis for our client in Thamesmead. The shifts would be Monday to Friday from 06:00 - 14:00

Pay rates:
Monday to Friday Day Shift (Up to 8 hours per day)
- £12.86ph

Monday to Friday overtime (after 40 hours) - £19.30ph

About the role:
To complete the day-to-day functions of the transport administration department, primarily dealing with drivers as they leave for their deliveries and debriefing them on their return. Dealing with any shortages or overages. Answering the telephone, dealing with the public and queries from drivers.

Training provided. This role is to start ASAP. You will need a reference back before you can start work. You must be available for an interview and a registration.

Area of Responsibility
- Logging driver deliveries on to an in-house database system
- Issuing kit to drivers
- Check driver paperwork
- Filing of completed paperwork
- Issuing driver start times
- Sorting out vehicle keys and issuing to drivers

Person Specification
- GCSE Maths and English grade C or above (or equivalent level numeric and literacy skills)
- Administrative experience desirable; PC Literate (especially excel)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to analyse verbal and numeric data
- Able to work on own initiative and under pressure
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good Time Management and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a constantly changing environment
