**Overview**: Walwick Hall is a privately owned boutique country house 10-bedroom hotel with spa. Chesters Stables is a collection of family suites house in the original stables of the estate. Together these two businesses form the hospitality offering at Walwick Estate.
Opening in 2015, Walwick Hall has received high level praise form international travellers, UK based holiday makers and the local community around Northumberland ever since.
We are currently recruiting for the position of Receptionist to work with our General Manager to ensure the guest experience is seamless and luxurious.
As a receptionist you will be the first point of welcome for our guests, before they arrive you will speak with them on the telephone as part of our pre arrival communications. As they pull into the car park you will welcome them and assist with their baggage. All of our guests are offered a welcome drink, the first objective is to make them feel at home, our information gathering should be done before the guests arrive.
Working with the General Manager to ensure that all relevant information is gathered on all guests and then shared with the relevant departments through creating notes on the booking systems and adding information to the daily logs. Working with the Head Housekeeper and Head Chef to continually enhance the guest experience to through innovation and a simple philosophy of putting oneself in the shoes of the Guest to add local touches of warmth and hospitality.
**Duties and responsibilities**:
- To ensure all guests receive a high level of service from check-in through to check-out.
- To ensure any feedback is communicated to the General Manager.
- Daily administration work with particular reference to Guest special requests, food allergies and special occasions.
- To prepare statistical information for other departments as instructed by the General Manager.
- To ensure that postings are made on the correct day and that every transaction is charged before check-out.
- To take part in the training sessions offered and departmental coaching.
**Prerequisites**:
A passion for saying yes is the answer now what is the question, taking pride in finding innovative solutions to the ever changing requests that guests will bring us. Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
Previous experience in a luxury Hotel setting, with focus on Reception or Guest Relations. Someone who has demonstrated and interest in career development through cross departmental training or management training.
