**Who are we looking for? **We are seeking a **Export Administrator** to join our team.
The primary objective of this position is to coordinate all aspects of export activities, including documentation, customs clearance, transportation arrangements, and compliance with laws and regulations, to support the company's global business objectives.
**PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to)**:
- Coordinate and oversee the export process from order placement to final delivery, ensuring compliance with export regulations and customer requirements
- Prepare and manage export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and export licenses, as required
- Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs agents to arrange transportation and ensure smooth shipment of goods to international destinations
- Plan and coordinate logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management, to optimise efficiency and minimise costs
- Monitor shipment schedules, track shipments, and address any delays or issues to ensure timely delivery to our stores and our international partners
- Optimise transportation routes and modes to maximise cost-effectiveness and minimise environmental impact
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and requirements for export shipments, including tariff classification, valuation, and documentation
- Coordinate with customs agents to facilitate customs clearance processes and resolve any customs-related issues or queries
- Serve as the primary point of contact for international customers regarding shipment status, documentation requirements, and logistics inquiries
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer queries, resolving issues, and proactively communicating updates on shipment status
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that exported products meet regulatory standards, customer specifications, and quality requirements
- Implement quality control measures to prevent shipping errors, damages, or discrepancies during the export process
- Sign off goods as required before they are exported
- Samples - coordinating of samples with production, arranging couriers/transport
- Raising POs and invoicing export specific spend
- Process and maintain all export shipments and documentation in accordance with regulations and company standards
**KEY SELECTION CRITERIA**:
- Proven experience in export coordination, logistics management, or international trade, preferably in a manufacturing or trading company
- Familiarity with export documentation, customs procedures, and international shipping regulations
- Meticulous attention to detail in preparing export documentation, managing logistics operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Ability to accurately track shipments, monitor schedules, and identify and resolve discrepancies or issues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with international customers, freight forwarders, customs agents, and internal teams
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely
- Strong problem-solving skills to anticipate and address logistics challenges, resolve issues, and implement effective solutions
- Ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure to ensure on-time delivery of shipments
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple shipments, documentation requirements, and logistics activities simultaneously
- Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in ExCel and Microsoft Office
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £26,000.00 per year
