Reporting to the EU Demand Planning Manager as a Demand Planner you will be responsible for building the detailed demand forecasting and inventory planning process for multiple sites / SKUs within the Thermo Fisher Scientific European distribution network.

Working with an extensive portfolio of SKUs the Planner will assist in converting high level Supply Chain Planning objectives (DoH, Inventory, Service, E&O, stock holding, etc) in to executable and maintainable system configuration settings and standardised processes.

Working as part of a team in this role you are accountable for the analysis of the performance for your portfolio This will require you to take ownership for the Route Cause and Countermeasure reporting and any actions required to enhance performance. You will also contribute to the development of reporting and the presenting to this to the wider business.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
See to it that daily/weekly/monthly/periodical jobs are run, for example making sure items are classified accurately into appropriate Segmentation/differential Inventory control groups to allow for optimized Inventory management.

Maintain and improve appropriate safety stock and ROP system settings.

Review the Stock/Non-stock process to optimize the Operational impact of Inventory stock controls etc.

Ensure that all base inventory management parameters are accurate and efficient within Logility ERP systems for your items.

Maintain all Inventory management control table parameters within IBS to ensure process stability and predicted outcome.

Perform routine and ad-hoc detailed analysis and make recommendations to achieve profitability, customer service and desired inventory value.

Through analysis, identify and communicate opportunities for improvement to service and inventory.

Control the service level and inventory to meet or exceed goals through proactive management of key indicators (including availability rate, coverage, accuracy and timeliness of forecasts).

Efficiently handle reporting and implementation of operational tasks.

Be the reference point for the team in the Planning process definition (implementation, standardization, improvement and documentation).

Design, build, and deploy computer-based decision support tools, analysis, reports and models to improve the efficiency of supply chain functions.

Work cross functionally and across sites to support inventory planning, forecasting, procurement, transportation, distribution operations, customer service, manufacturing and international functions.

Provide strong detailed insight and analysis of ideal network stocking locations (by supplier/product).

Help write and maintain work instructions and SOP's

Work to proactively resolve planning issues

Developing robust improvement plans with supplier to improve flow of product supply including accuracy of lead time

Optimise stock holding and minimise risk of excess and obsolescence

**Minimum Requirements/Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of Excel, PC, server and ERP systems familiarity.
- Experience working with forecasting models and demand planning processes in a FMCG, multi-location distribution environment.
- Comprehensive understanding and experience of inventory, purchasing and supplier management activity.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Multi-tasking experience and flexibility to address immediate priorities
- Metrics focused with a root cause, permanent fix approach, continuous improvement approach and self-motivation
- Proficient in Business and Technical English.
