Psychedelic Research Therapist in Psychopharmacology

Applications are invited for a part-time Therapist in Psychopharmacology role across two sites; 1) Centre for Psychedelic Research at Hammersmith Hospital and 2) CIPPRes at St Charles Hospital. They will hold the lead therapist role in our study testing psilocybin intervention for patients with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- To co-ordinate and provide therapy for study participants
- To liaise with patients and clinical care teams
- To assist in screening patients into the studies
- To work with patients through therapy and trial follow-up
- To provide supervision support for members of staff
- To maintain good communication with research, nursing and medical staff
- To undertake relevant training (e.g. GCP, CRF inductions)
- To teach workshops and trainings as necessary

**Essential requirements**:
The post-holder should be trained in a psychedelic-assisted therapy modality with significant experience.
- Practical experience with therapy within a clinical research environment
- Practical experience in psychedelic guiding including preparation and integration
- Knowledge of the therapeutic action of psychedelic drugs
- Creative approach to problem-solving
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to deal with a wide range of people
- Excellent written communication skills and the ability to write clearly and succinctly for publication
- Ability to organise own work with mínimal supervision
- Ability to prioritise own work in response to deadlines
- Advanced computer skills, including word-processing, spreadsheets and the Internet
- Ability to direct the work of a small research team and motivate others to produce a high standard of work
- Willingness to work as part of a team and to be open-minded and cooperative
- Flexible attitude towards work
- Discipline and regard for confidentiality and security at all times
- Willingness to undertake any necessary training for the role
- Willingness to travel both within the United Kingdom and abroad to conduct research and attend conferences

This post is part-time, fixed term for 12 months contract, and is based at our Hammersmith Campus.
