Castings Engineer

My Client is looking for a Castings Engineer to work for them on a permanent basis at their Yatton site. This role specifically requires you to assist with various aspects of the development, design and manufacture of a range of casting systems.
The Senior Tooling Engineer will need engineering experience and in particular an insight into zinc casting operations. You will be responsible for organising for the set up and operation of the casting process as well as overseeing quality checks to ensurethat the purpose, function and reliability standards are maintained.
Main Duties:
" Overseeing the implementation and development of casting systems.
" Working with CAD technicians to design and develop cast tooling systems.
" Studying work orders, drawings and making controlled alterations to assist with tooling development.
" Work and liaise with various departments and external suppliers in the development of casting systems.
Key Experience:
" Experience in casting processes essential.
" Formal engineering qualification or time served apprenticeship essential.
" Experience in working with zinc casting.
" An experience of working with hot chamber processes.
