Trainee Legal Executive Litigation

**Salary**: £23,194 - £31,099 per annum.
**Working Pattern**: Full-time, 37 hours per week.
**Contract**: Permanent.
**Location**: County Hall, Chichester with hybrid working opportunities.
West Sussex County Councils legal service are looking for an academically inclined and ambitious person to join our team.
Your primary focus will be to provide a range of legal advice and support duties to the Litigation & Insurance Team in Legal Services. The role will provide advice and an efficient service under guidance and direction from senior colleagues.
You will provide an efficient and effective legal service to a range of clients. You will have a high standard and ensure that deadlines are met e.g drafing advice and court documents. You will handle a full and varied caseload and manage priorities accordinglyin the areas of dispute resolutiuon and debt recovery.
**Experience and Skills**
This role is aimed at someone wanting to obtain a professional qualification in law. You will possess at least 3 A Levels and potentially a degree qualification.
You will be working towards an ILEX qualification or be willing to work towards the qualification. You should also be able to demonstrate a real interest in a career in law, particularly in environment law, and will be able to work under pressure in a fast-pacedenvironment. You will have good IT skills and be able to work flexibly to suit the demands of the team.
In addition you will also be able to demonstrate the following key skills and experience:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to exchange complicated information both orally and in writing.
- Accurate drafting skills to write legal documents.
- Organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines.
**Qualifications and/or experience**:
- A Level qualifications or equivalent experience demonstrating that level of numeracy and literacy.
- Good working knowledge of IT systems and procedures.
- Demonstrable experience of handling a varied workload producing high quality and accurate documents and working effectively as a member of a team.
- Working towards ILEX qualification or be willing to work towards the qualification.
