We’re looking for a Production Planner to join the busy Planning Team at our Hinckley site. Working closely with your immediate team colleagues and those from Operations and Despatch, you will be primarily responsible for creating and maintaining production plans to ensure effective machine scheduling and performance and reducing waste.

This is a key role in managing the resources and activities required to achieve the business objectives and service goals. Our focus is to deliver a world-class customer service to delight customers and grow our business.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Creating and maintaining the productions schedule on a day-to-day basis, creating computer generated production plans for both the corrugator and conversion machines- Understanding the process for the ordering of reels and how to place orders using SAP for the corrugator schedule- Liaising with the Engineering and Operations functions to decide how capacity demands can be achieved whilst releasing machines for crew care or any other necessary repairs- Responsibility for receiving the stock takes for consumables and pallets from corrugator and conversion and placing new orders accordingly

To be successful in this role you will have strong problem solving skills and the ability to manage information and forward plan to facilitate the co-ordination of work activities alongside your team colleagues.

Ideally you will have working knowledge of a manufacturing environment with a proven track record of performing at a high level in a time pressured, fast paced environment. There will be an emphasis placed on working with the team and other colleagues within the company to improve team and cross-departmental relations, flexibility and efficiency in our service offerings.

Other essential attributes include excellent communication skills, competency using Microsoft Office and the ability to make decisions based on available data. Previous experience within a planning/scheduler type role is desirable. Experience of ordering factory consumables and knowledge of the CBS system and/or SAP would be advantageous.

This is a full time site based position. Full training will be provided, and you will be joining a small but very friendly team.
