**DOMESTIC ASSISTANT**

A vacancy has arisen for a Domestic Assistant at our busy Care Home in Greenfield.

This position is for 30 hours per week. The hours of work are 9.00am until 3.00pm and shifts will be allocated as per the staffing rota. Shifts are allocated and worked over a 7-day period. You will be expected to work additional hours from time to time to cover holidays and sickness.

We offer 5.6 weeks annual leave and a rate of pay that meets the national minimum wage.

Our Domestic Assistants are an essential part of our team and work to support the Housekeeper in the overall delivery of providing a spotlessly clean and tidy home to our residents.

**Brief Overview**:
You will be required to support the Housekeeper in maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the Home and to adhere to the management of Health & Safety. You will be expected to take care of the environment and report any defects or necessary repairs.

You will need to be a people person with a warm and empathetic personality. You will be organised and have good communication skills.

The role requires you to adhere to a cleaning schedule and abide by all COSHH regulations, colour coding and to clean and store all domestic equipment in accordance with agreed procedures. You will also be required to remove waste in accordance with agreed procedures.

- Experience in a similar role and environment is preferred but not essential.

- Basic COSHH Knowledge preferred
