Central Digital Review Unit Level 9 Associate

The Central Digital Review Unit (CDRU) provides comprehensive digital evidence review services to Enforcement and Market Oversight (EMO). We provide strategic direction for eDiscovery techniques in the processing, review and production of evidence.

We:
- Examine large numbers of documents in an expert manner for relevance, responsiveness, privilege, and confidentiality.- Provide strategic advice on digital review leadership to EMO case teams in matters of digital evidence.- Provide administration of the eDiscovery supervised machine learning platforms and management of hosted digital evidence.

What does the role involve? What are the key responsibilities?- Providing best practice in the use of our eDiscovery tool to EDT users.- Provide data for use at project boards in order to provide specialist advice, recommendations and actions.-
- Taking responsibility for quality assurance on cases.- Training investigation colleagues in eDiscovery when required.- General support in cross-divisional and department projects and initiatives when required.- Attend and assist external meetings in relation to requests for information when required.- An opportunity to work to in a new and exciting department dedicated in supporting our mission as it innovates using supervised machine learning.- You will work on investigations that really matter supporting the aims of the organisation in the regulation of financial services in the United Kingdom and its economy.- The role provides the ongoing opportunity, environment and training to develop and enhance your technical abilities and knowledge.

Skills/Experience Required

Minimum-
- Experience (including administrative) in any of the following areas: regulatory investigations or litigation; investigations involving serious fraud, complex financial crime or criminal cases.

Essential- Some proven experience to assess and analyse voluminous and data-heavy bodies of evidence in complex cases, exercising judgement on the evidence.

Desirable- Enquiring, curious mind, critical thinking, ability to review cases objectively.- Experience of giving evidence in court or at a tribunal.- Experience of the whole investigative process.- Technically adept in the use of eDiscovery systems (specific training given) and office tools.- Adaptable and flexible to the information as it is revealed.- Ability to document and support a review project strategy including identifying key risks and putting in place steps to mitigate those risks, splitting the project into relevant workstreams and planning required resource.

Useful Information- This role is graded as Associate Level 9 - Regulatory- Applications for this role close on 6th June 2023- This role is based in Leeds- The salary range for this role is £30,600 - £46,500 plus a competitive- benefits package
- and non-contributory pension. The salary offered will be based on skills & experience- Please note that Security Clearance may be required in the future

The FCA supports hybrid working and you will be expected to work 40% of your time over a month, in our office. We will consider other flexible arrangements, for example part time working, and you can discuss this with the recruiter.
