This is an exciting key role within the Environmental Health, Environmental Protection & Housing team. The role is varied with no two days the same, so flexibility will be one of your attributes. You will be expected to take a lead role in a key area of work, this is likely to be private sector housing initially but could change depending on service and team requirements. You will be part of a tight-knit team that focuses on our customers and outcomes. Significant service improvements have been made recently following greater investment and a new management structure in place. We acknowledge that employees are the most important asset of the service and that personal development aligned with service need is actively encouraged. You would be expected to play your part in continuous service improvement. The Council has a flexi policy allowing up to two days flexi leave per month (dependant upon policy conditions being met). There are no core hours within the policy. There is opportunity for officers to manage their own workloads. There are also opportunities to undertake additional paid overtime work for high priority business needs.
