**Full time 35 hours (Hybrid working 1-2 days in the office)**

**About the Role**
This is an exciting time to join; at a time of change and development there is a real chance to make your mark within the team. The Balance Sheet (BS) Reconciliation Team are responsible for the timely production of 1,200 Balance Sheet reconciliations.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Ensuring that accounts for the companies are maintained to a standard that will ensure that they will pass both an internal and external audit inspection
- Ensure that all closed transactions are cleared/matched within individual accounts in SAP
- Obtain explanations from other departments within the Finance function that satisfactorily explain the nature of all open items and when and how they will be cleared from the account
- Assisting the supervisor in escalating any erroneous transactions to the originator of the entry and obtain an explanation as to when and how it will be cleared from the account
- To identify improvement opportunities, within the reconciliation process.
We are currently thinking through how we use our offices in the future and are open to discussing flexibility within this such as a blend of office and home working.
**About You**
This role is suited to someone who enjoys problem solving in a busy environment who is looking to gain some experience in a complex finance function. The person taking on this role will have the following skills and experience:
- Excellent workload management skills
- Business partnering and problem solving skills
- Awareness of meaningful metrics to use to manage team resources and to report on team and business performance
- Part qualified accountant or qualified by experience
- Excel Skills to intermediary level, e.g Pivot Tables and V Lookup.
**DESIRABLE**
- Experience and knowledge of performing reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
- Knowledge of SAP functionality e.g. data downloading and transaction matching
- Experience of dealing with large volumes in a multi-currency environment.
