Four Squared Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for a Bromsgrove based company to recruit for a full time Finance Officer on a permanent basis. They will offer hybrid working, suggesting 2 days in the office, 3 at home (although this is just a suggestion)

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
- Ensure the finance function's processes and controls are efficient and accurate
- Provide meaningful back up and detailed reconciliations to support business decisions
- Sales and purchase ledger management - undertake daily processing/reconciliation of sales invoicing and payments received and the processing and payment of purchase invoices and raising purchase orders for authorizing
- Credit Control, active management of debtors and the performance of credit checks
- Prepare and post monthly accruals, ensuring standardisation, full back up and detail is included in the balance sheet, with balance sheets reconciled in full each month to an audit standard
- Preparation of all month end reports, including month end file completion and analysis for sign of by the Financial Controller, ensuring the appropriate checks and balances are in place and all information in the pack is complete, adding commentary whererequired
- Complete year-end accounts and liaison with external accountants to ensure a smooth year-end process
- Preparation of the annual budget with the Financial Controller, monthly monitoring, probing, and reporting variances
- Maintenance and accuracy of all company accounting records, journals, reconciliations and supporting documents for internal and external purposes
- Preparation and reporting of ad-hoc financial and management information for internal management
- Generation of data for monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts and for annual budgets
- Stock Control and stock reconciliation
- Preparation of company VAT returns
- Preparation of National Statistics Office government reports and returns as required
- Prepare the annual R&D tax credit claim
- Assist with developing processes that drive continuous improvement, streamline, and seek efficiencies
- Process employee expenses, ensuring costs are reported correctly, management of employee company credit cards, spend limits, approvals, and request
- Collate payroll and submit to outsource company (UK & China & Kenya), and conduct payroll review for sign off by Financial Controller
- Benefit management, including private healthcare (new additions, leavers, annual renewal), annual leave buys and carry over process
- Assist with the onboarding of new starters, adding confidential information to our HR system and performance management system
