Seasonal Assistant Green Keeper

Bakewell Golf Club is a beautiful 9 hole (18 tee) parkland golf course overlooking the picturesque Wye valley with magnificent views of the town of Bakewell.

We have a vacancy for a seasonal assistant green keeper. Reporting to the Head Greenkeeper you will be part of a small team ensuring the course is always maintained and presented to all members and visitors in the best possible condition throughout the year.

**Duties to be carried out**

Mowing of all golf course areas.

Undertake bunker maintenance (raking, weeding, mowing).

Assist in maintaining and mowing landscape areas.

Renovations to play areas including vertidraining, brushing, coring, scarifying.

Identifying common pests, diseases and weeds in turf surfaces.

Competently operating all equipment.

Pruning, felling of tree enclosures and hedges, removal and disposal of unwanted growth and drainage work.

Basic course setup including setting of tee markers, cutting holes and tidying of bunkers.

A full UK driving licence is required.

**Desired personal qualities**:
A good team worker and ability to relate to a wide cross section of people including colleagues and members of the golf club.

Able to work accurately and complete tasks on time and ensure deadlines are met.

Early start times will be required and some weekend working.

**Job Type**: Temporary contract

**Salary**: £10.00-£11.87 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
