Here is just the position for you, to join our client as their new Finance Assistant.

As Finance Assistant, your new role will a broad and hands on one and here are your new responsibilities;
Purchase Ledger to include:

- Checking and processing the supplier invoices
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving issues
- Creating weekly supplier pay runs
- Purchase Order Processing for non-production items.
- Support of Purchase order process for production items
- Month end procedures

Sales Ledger Duties:

- Sales ledger - supervising and assisting where required
- Support Credit Control
- Weekly sales summary report
- Month end procedures

Payroll Duties:

- Processing company payroll (temporary as may be outsourced)
- Administration of timesheets, Weekly and Monthly
- Administration of pension scheme
- Administration of PAYE

Banking and Cash Duties:

- Cash flow monitoring
- Reconciling the bank daily
- Reconciling the card receipts accounts and petty cash
- Posting Payments/Receipts to ERP system
- Assist with Cashflow forecasting

Intercompany Duties:

- Processing Intercompany transactions
- Assist with Intercompany Monthly reporting
- Assist with Intercompany Quarterly reporting

Other Duties:

- Processing for approval of VAT Returns
- Assist in administration of key contracts (insurances, patents, utilities,
- Assist with Profit Improvement/Cost reduction projects
- Receiving and opening the post
- Scanning invoices and other documents as required for Monthly Accounts

You will never have a dull day that's for sure and to succeed in this post of Accounts Assistant/ Finance Assistant you will need to;
- have proven experience of holding a similar position
- be AAT qualified/ part qualified would be advantageous but by no means essential
- have the ability to pick up finance systems and processes quickly
- be self motivated and know when to escalate problems
- be a team player with a hands on attitude
