Business Development Manager
Up to £45,000 Per Annum DOE
Location: Caerphilly/Home/Field with customers
Our client are a well-established organisation in the Machine Guarding industry. The company supply a wide range of machine safety products,to a variety of commercial, industrial and educational organisations across the UK.
Job Purpose:
Deliver sales revenues in line with company budgets and targets by developing existing and new customer opportunities and relationships. Focusing on the sectors and product groups identified in the strategic business plan. Support all staff and departmentswith technical and compliance guidance.

**Responsibilities**:

- Target specific sectors and end users to maximise revenues in our core markets
- Deliver and exceed all agreed KPIs and financial goals
- Visiting customers 3 days per week with target of 2 visits per day minimum where possible
- Manage and be accountable for your own financial metrics, pipeline & forecasting
- Consultation with customers regarding regulations & compliance to the current standards
- Offer suitable safety solutions whilst promoting Procter's full range of services & capabilities
- Identify potential new feasible revenue opportunities within the safety related industry
- Feedback market information, competitor activity and general trends
- Input to marketing campaigns and other sales and brand awareness drivers
- Produce basic sketches & drawings for budgets quotations
- Develop commercial knowledge to be capable of basic estimating and costing
- Ensure yourself and the business stay up to date with all regulatory and compliance standards
- Work collaboratively with design, production and sales to ensure effective and efficient working
- Attend industry specific conferences and networking events and promote the Procter brand
- Provide guidance and support on all safety matters to Procter staff
- Be a motivational and positive influence within the Machine Safety team
- Travel nationally and plan time and territory effectively to maximise productivity and results
**Requirements**:

- CMSE accredited or equivalent (CESE with strong mechanical engineering background considered)
- Demonstrable knowledge of the industry and current/future legislation
- Manufacturing/Engineering experience and understanding
- Proven track record of sales success in a safety related role within multiple industries and sector
- Consultative "needs satisfaction" solution based sales experience advantageous (training will be given)
- Commercially astute and sound business acumen
- Tenacious, dynamic and resourceful with the focus to achieve goals
- Highly motivated & dedicated with the ability to work effectively both remotely & without supervision
- Positive, approachable with a willingness to help and support both customers and colleagues
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills both verbal and written
- Excellent time management and planning skills
- Sound IT skills and knowledge of CRM systems
- Full driving licence
