**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate on-site locomotives using both remote control and cab control methods for efficient rail shunting operations.
- Safely move rail carriages, weighing up to 100T, within the facility to meet operational requirements.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures related to train driving and track safety.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on locomotives and ensure they meet safety standards before commencing any shunting activities.
- Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure smooth and safe rail shunting operations.
- Be available for rail shunting duties on a 24/7 basis, including weekends and holidays, as required by operational needs.
- Report any malfunction or defects in locomotives promptly and assist in routine maintenance activities as required.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Knowledge of train driving and track safety regulations.
- Experience in rail shunting operations is preferred, but not essential.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

**Package**
- 4 on 4 off rota shift pattern consisting of two 12 hour day-shifts followed by two 12 hour night-shifts, averaging 39 hours per week (no Saturday night shifts).
- Weekly paid average salary of £558.15.
- Overtime paid at a flat rate of £17.75 per hour.
- Auto enrolled onto the company pension scheme.
- 28 days holiday per year inclusive of Bank holidays.
- Uniform and PPE Provided.
- If required, full training will be provided.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £14.31 per hour
