Duties and Responsibilities Include (Please note the below list is not exhaustive and the Health Care Assistant may be required to perform other duties): Undertake NHS health checks Carry out ECGs Phlebotomy Diabetes foot care Ear syringing Act as a chaperone as required Administering flu and pneumococcal vaccinations. B12 injections BP readings and ABPM Undertake wound care and dressings Obtaining, processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses Arranging sterilising, cleansing and maintenance of surgical equipment Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions including assisting GPs during the performance of minor operations Deliver opportunistic Health promotion where appropriate Please see the attached Job Description for more information.
