**Do you have strong HR advisory skills, and understand the importance of instilling best practice HR guidance?**
**Full time, 12 months maternity cover**
**Working**: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
**Location**: Hybrid working with 1 to 2 days per week in Winnersh office (RG41)
As our HR Advisor you will be responsible for providing quality HR advice and case management across the UK based Advantage Smollan Group companies.
In this role you will help to deliver and drive collaborative, inclusive and sustainable People solutions, that serve our customer and colleagues’ needs and create a great place to work where people want to work, win, grow and feel like they belong.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide HR advice to line managers and employees
- Conduct disciplinary and grievance hearings and coach line managers on dealing with performance management issues
- HR system (Dayforce) super user with responsibility for any issues and its ongoing maintenance
- Respond to general HR related employee queries
- Develop and implement HR procedures and manage Wellbeing and EDI related projects
- Assist HR administration team as and when required
**To be successful in the role you will have**:
- Proven recent experience of disciplinary and grievance processes
- Experience in providing HR advice and coaching to line managers in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in maintaining contractual documentation - reflecting current best practice and changes in law
- Confident user of HR systems, preferably Dayforce HR System
- An interest or experience in Wellbeing and EDI related topics
- Planning and delivery of HR relating training for line managers
- Fully IT literate
- Strong communicator and relationship builder

So, what are the responsibilities?:
**You will be responsible for**:
- Provide first line HR advice to line managers and employees
- Conduct first line disciplinary and grievance hearings and coach line managers on dealing with performance management issues
- Respond to general HR related employee queries
- Provide support to HR Manager and HR Director as required with restructures, redundancies and TUPE consultations
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures and manage projects such as reviews of handbooks, contracts, policies etc.

**You will have**:
- Solid knowledge of employment law and experience of disciplinary and grievance
- Experience in providing HR advice and coaching to line managers in a fast paced environment
- Managed pay review and annual bonus process
- Knowledge and experience of talent management practices such as succession management and career planning
- Planning and delivery of HR relating training for line managers
