Yard Worker

**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Worker to join our team. As a Yard Worker, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks around the yard. This is a physically demanding role that requires lifting and the ability to operate a wide variety of machinery.

**Responsibilities**:

- A self-starting individual who has the ability to make things happen.
- Able to spot when something needs doing and then doing it.
- Able to work with a minimum amount of supervision and on own initiative.
- Can work under own initiative to tight schedules.
- Completing tasks and not leaving them for others to do.
- Load and unload machinery from lorries or other vehicles
- Organise and maintain all stock in the yard
- Operate a wide variety of machinery on and off lorries and around the yard
- Assist with building and assembling machinery as needed
- Perform general maintenance and cleaning of the yard area
- Meeting customers and dealing with their needs and expectations
- Ability to steam clean and clean machinery when needed
- Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment
- Communicate effectively with team members
- Maintain and keep the yard organised and clean
- Liaise with administrative staff and assist where needed
- Be in close contact with head office and sales

Driving, forklift, telehandler ticket preferable but not essential.

Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
