An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Support Manager for a leading logistics organisation based in Hertfordshire.

As the Operations Support Manager you will drive the performance across core Inventory/customer service and financial cost controls within the cost centre.

Key Operations Support Manager responsibilities:

- Develop, gain agreement, implement and deliver the budget for the Service Centre.
- Ensure all operating standards are met through compliance to company policies and procedures and adherence to legislation.
- Work with internal and external individuals and groups to ensure standards are achieved and maintained
- Ensure that security procedures are in place and maintained and liaise with appropriate personnel to achieve required levels
- Implement Service Centre policies and procedures to meet business needs
- Coordination and administration of activities to support the central account team and clients
- Support the implementation and maintenance of a standard training matrix across all sites.
- Use data i.e. KPIs, SLAs to help advise the site teams on changes, best practice, simplification or harmonisation.
- Proof reading, editing, documentation review as required
- Researching and compiling reports and presentations
- Developing and delivering training matrix's, and maintaining a register of training needs and records
- Dealing with enquiries from site, central and clients

Operations Support Managers Requirements:

- Previous experience of having managed a range of support functions & demonstrating leadership skills with the ability to improve organisational effectiveness.
- Experience of a Logistics, Distribution or Warehouse operation.
- Excellent numerical and verbal skills.
- Articulate and thorough, showing attention to detail.
- Ability to be resilient and adaptable.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Pro-active, demonstrating initiative and anticipates needs.
- Ability to demonstrate strong financial knowledge of managing a cost centre
- Ability to demonstrate a proven track record of leading change in a complex and highly regulated environment
- Experience of a customer focussed environment
- Managing budgets, KPIs and Change Management
- Ability to evidence experience in creating a culture of continuous improvement and people development
- Strong decision-making capabilities
- Above-average communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
- Ability to motivate and lead people, and hold employees accountable
- Strong working knowledge of operational procedures in a highly regulated environment
- Strong conflict resolution skills
