**OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB**

The main purpose of the position is to provide support and assistance to our tradesmen and customers, to track and record orders, dispatch orders and maintain the warehouse in accordance with Health and Safety law and regulation.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assist the warehouse team and tradesmen with the loading of vehicles and ensure correct products and quantities are in order.
- Ensure compliance of standard warehouse and transport operating procedures.
- Housekeeping duties within the warehouse for the purpose of maintaining a safe working environment when required.
- Offloading and checking deliveries from suppliers
- Stock control and associated stock checks, ordering and maintaining stock levels.
- Organising warehouse facilities, ensuring both the warehouse and outside yard are always tidy and accessible.
- Inputting of inward goods - responsible for the documentation and return of goods to supplier.
- Reporting shortages and damaged goods - responsible for the documentation and return of goods to supplier.
- Driving forklift and stacking/racking new stock.
- Participation in relevant training.

**KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**
- 2 years’ Stores experience
- Valid Forklift licence
- Clean Driving License
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Basic IT Skills

**PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS**
- Ensuring the correct goods are picked and loaded.
- Compliance with Warehouse and Transport operating procedures within the Branch.
- Compliance with Health and Safety Laws and Regulations. All duties and tasks are undertaken and performed in an efficient, accurate manner resulting in excellent service provision.
- All transactions have to be managed professionally to maximise margin & get repeat business.

**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Commitment to ensuring best practice within HHI with a strong focus on Quality and Health & Safety
