Counted Recruitment are currently recruiting a**Financial controller - Controls and**compliance for a great business based in **Bromsgrove**. This role will see you play a crucial role in a fantastic finance team

Main duties of this**Financial controller - Controls and compliance** role include:

- Lead a team of finance professionals
- Plan and monitor team resources, including identifying training needs, to improve and maintain service levels.
- Develop team members, supporting their career progression while focusing on service
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with sector FD’s and all area of finance
- Manage the Key Financial Controls programme and review supporting evidence and testing of each control to ensure compliance to all KFC’s
- Educate key stakeholders on control requirements where compliance is not achieved
- Analyse monthly dashboards for all sectors identifying areas of risk with sector FD’s
- Lead monthly review meetings ensuring actions are provided and completed in a timely manner
- Common trends and areas of concern from the monthly reviews to be prepared for sector quarterly balance sheet reviews
- Manage the Contract Finance Review programme with risk profiling in place to support the selection of contracts
- Provide reporting to Profit Protection Managers to ensure completion of reviews
- Analyse completed reviews identifying areas of control weakness and risk with reporting published to sector finance teams
- Reconciliations of control accounts to be completed with potential areas of concern flagged to profit protection
- Implementation of improvements for control account reconciliations
- Analysis of stock and cash predictors with exceptions issued for investigation and cases of potential fraud escalated to Profit Protection
- Monitor activity ensuring adherence to UK and Group Accounting Manuals, educating the business in areas of non-compliance and update the UK manual as required
- Establish appropriate controls for cashless systems ensuring reporting and education is in place to mitigate financial risk.
- Strategically review financial controls to improve cultural compliance and a reduction in risk through continuous improvement, training and workshops
- Engage with Group Internal Audit as required to support the business and ensure adherence to recommendation timelines
- Provide monthly performance updates to the Financial Compliance and Control Director and Head of Profit Protection, Risk and Control.

**Location / Office / Hours**

A large, multinational business based near Bromsgrove, this business operates across the UK but this role itself will involve very mínimal travel.
