**Assistant Management Accountant**

Aila is excited to announce that it’s in partnership with one of the most exciting and leading businesses in the local area on the recruitment of an AAT qualified or early-stage CIMA/ACCA studying Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team ona permanent basis. This company has grown rapidly since inception in 2007 and they’ve grown from 1 site to 35, becoming not only a recognised brand and leading choice for customers, but an employer of choice for staff looking to develop and progress alongsidethe business growth.
Current turnover is c.£50m and we expect this to only go one way due to their growth ambitions and constant appraisals of new sites and venues. They have an amazing atmosphere both on their sites and their HQ in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, and this role willoffer somebody great exposure to a fast-paced, multi-suite business where you can progress within your accounting career. They offer a hybrid working model with 3 days in, 2 days out.

This position would suit somebody AAT qualified or in the later stages, or an ACCA/CIMA early-stage studier who is comfortable in a multi-entity setting within a month end finance role.
You will be keen to further your accounting knowledge in a fast-paced, multi-site environment where you will be responsible for assist in the production of the monthly management accounts, including processing / reconciling prepayments and accruals. You willdemonstrate attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure and be adept at working with and managing key internal stakeholders.
A good level of Excel skills and the ability to build relationships across the wider business is essential. A strongly analytical mind and a problem-solving mindset is essential as the business is continuously changing and it’s a fast paced environment.**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the production of the monthly management accounts, including processing / reconciling prepayments and accruals
- Preparation, review and ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, resolving any issues where necessary
- Assist in the year-end external audit process
- Assist in the annual budgeting process for site cost lines
- Completion of government returns such as national statistics
- Checking VAT returns for all companies within the group
