To work primarily independently and on own initiative with mínimal supervision to carry out the duties of the post Track patient test results to determine what further action is necessary, liaising with the clinician and/or ensuring that relevant information is available for discussion at MDT. To be responsible for ensuring that the patient does not experience unnecessary delays on the cancer pathway. Monitor the patients current status and communicate as required with the appropriate consultant to ensure that diagnostic/staging tests and treatment are arranged in a timely manner, and to chase results as required. Escalate patient delays to management Supporting the PTL meetings To communicate with colleagues in and outside of the Trust to ensure that patients are appropriately managed on their suspected cancer pathways Utilise knowledge to determine which patients histology, reports and images will be needed for discussion Provide administrative and technical support to facilitate MDT meetings; including but not limited to preparing, organising and circulating agendas Live typing minutes from the MDT meetings ensuring accuracy and agreement from MDT lead before circulating as appropriate Take responsibility following the MDTs for ensuring that any outcomes identified are actioned in a timely manner, liaising with staff in various departments and other organisations Work collaboratively with medical secretaries, clinic coordinators, nurse specialists and other staff within and outside of the Trust to ensure appropriate management of patient information and coordination of pathways Assist in the review of office protocols and working practices where necessary.

Implementation of the Operational Policy for relevant MDTs and Cancer Services. The post holder will also be expected to participate in meetings for the ongoing development of Cancer Services policies. Attend and contribute to the tumour site AGMs. To compile and provide detailed analysis of patients cancer pathways that have breached their target dates.

Liaising with all other departments and external Trusts involved with patients pathway to ensure that all relevant information is available to aid harm reviews which contribute to the Trust harm review process for 104+ breaches Provide cover for patient tracking and MDT team meetings for additional cancer sites and other duties as appropriate. Ensuring attention to detail when tracking, checking patient records are correct and that the information you are inputting is accurate Any other duties commensurate with the grade and in line with the requirement of the post. OTHER INFORMATION The post holder may be required to carry out other relevant duties as required. The post holder will adhere to the duties specified under the Staff Responsibilities of the NHS Constitution in their day to day work and behaviours.

The post holder will be expected to aspire to the Values of the Trust in their day today work and behaviours in order to support the Trust in achieving its Vision. The post holder will adhere to, at all times, any Professional, NHS Code of Conducts and legislation relevant for their area of work. The post holder will make themselves familiar with, and adhere to, at all times, the policies and procedures of the Trust, and their area of work. The post holder will be expected to work to any Corporate/Division/Directorate/Department objectives and standards in order to provide an acceptable level of service.

The post holder will be expected to undertake training, including mandatory and role specific training, relevant to their role and ensure it is renewed
