Due to an internal transfer, we are looking for a **Purchase Ledger Assistant **to join our Finance Team in Wardle.

This role is designed to oversee the registration, approval and payment of invoices in a timely manner while managing suppliers and their queries. The post holder will be responsible for 1/3 of supplier accounts within the Company.

The **PLA **will also prepare and check supplier BACS payments in line with the company payment schedule, prepare and check Bankline payments for invoices in foreign currencies at their due date, as well as providing cover for the daily bank drawdown.

The person will be the 1st point of contact for any employee expense’ queries on SAP Concur, manage manual expense and mileage claims and check the accuracy of submitted claims before registration and payment.

He/she will be required to efficiently manage petty cash and prepare monthly journals in AX ensuring that costs and VAT are correctly recorded. And lastly, they will complete company credit card reviews and journal posting while ensuring that all spend is within the company’s policy, all receipts matched and were fully approved.

**Skills we are looking for**:

- Ideally previous PL experience
- Attention to detail ensuring invoices are input accurately
- Ability to work to strict deadlines
- Methodological and logical approach
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient MS Office package user: especially MS Excel
- A polite, approachable and professional manner
- Someone with a willingness to learn
