Provide and receive complex difficult and sensitive information, which may be in a challenging and emotive atmosphere. Communicate and collaborate with clinical nurse lead, peers, medical staff, patients, families and carers, general public, external agencies, voluntary agencies, GP's, other regional NHS Trusts. Listen to services users and carers to promote and practise shared decision making Collaborate with service user/carer groups and representatives to promote service improvement and development. Prepare and present accurate reports both verbal and written.

Participate in multi-disciplinary reviews. Communicate with service users and carers in order to positively develop therapeutic relationships Develop effective interpersonal skills in managing conflict and resolution Adopt a common sense approach to confidentiality Promote and practice a culture of compassion where relationships are based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity Exercise the professional duty of candour, being open and honest and apologizing when things go wrong. Be registered as a Nursing Associate Have a Foundation Degree and complete the preceptorship programme for newly registered Nursing Associates Have experience of working with service users with complex mental health needs or learning disabilities Demonstrate knowledge of Mental Health legislation Demonstrate commitment to continuing professional development and Revalidation Analytical and Judgemental Skills Contribute to the assessment, planning and evaluation, treatment and risk management for service users Improve the quality of care by contributing to the continuous monitoring of peoples experience of care. Identify risks to safety or experience and take appropriate action, putting the best interests, needs and preferences of people first.

Have courage to speak out challenge and act when things feel wrong Engage in public health, community development, and in the reduction of healthinequalities Carry out observations on patients, recognising adverse signs and taking appropriate action Policy and Service Development Implement Trust policies Contribute to achieving all required Trust Quality & Performance objectives Maintain Health and Safety Standards using existing mechanisms e.g. Clinical Risk Assessment, Environmental Risk Assessment, Moving and Handling, COSHH. Contribute to developing, delivering and maintaining the local Operational Policy. Participate in a review of service provision.

Provide advice, or demonstrate own activities; including workplace routines, to new and/or less experienced colleagues in own work area Support the induction, training, education and assessment of trainee nursing associates and community support workers Contribute to Community Support Workers clinical supervision and appraisal Play an active role as members of interdisciplinary teams Collaborate and communicate effectively with nurses, a range of other health and care professionals and lay carers Information Resources Comply with General Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information, and Records Management Policy. Maintain and update service user/carer information; completing records and reports accurately and on time Implements changes associated with the development of I.T. systems.

Provide information to pathway/team manager. Assist in the collection of data from a variety of sources. Research and Development Undertake surveys and audits in own work area. Participate in clinical audits as required and action findings.
