**Salary**: Up to £37,000 per annum

Southern Water is transforming the way in which it delivers operations across Wastewater Networks, we are embarking on an exciting Operational Excellence transformation programme at the same time as embedding our industry leading Sewer Level Monitoring technology as we continue to build on our asset base of 22,000 sensors across our waste water network, harvesting their insights to proactively manage our asset base as part of our shift towards a smart network as part of our mission to achieve 4* EPA status, protecting our environment and delighting our customers.

The Continuous Improvement Specialist will drive forward our Wastewater Networks (WWN) OE25 Transformation Programme by engaging with stakeholders both across Southern Water and its supply chain in order to scope, define and design operational change. Utilising experience of driving continuous improvement using Lean approaches to embed and sustain phase of a business change.

This permanent full-time role will be self-supporting and the holder will be expected to utilise best practice change management and quality analysis to ensure that change adoption is rapid to enable benefit realisation.

Key accountabilities would include:

- Process redesign, workshop facilitation and solution design in support of realising project deliverables.
- Assess the effectiveness of current business processes and look for areas of improvement in the way we operate.
- Supporting Project Managers to ensure solutions are of the right quality to deliver benefit.
- Conduct change impact assessments in collaboration with the Project Managers.
- Monitor the effectiveness of comms, engagement and change initiatives and help to course correct if needed.
- Provide advice, support and guidance to Project Managers in relation to programme analysis, assurance and resourcing. Identifying opportunities to enhance successful implementation of the initiative.
- Production of artefacts and outputs in support of solutions in order to meet deliverables to timeline and quality.
- Training of employees within WWN function in Kaizen / Six Sigma or similar techniques to improve continuous improvement across the operation.
- Support with identification of training needs / requirements and establish plans to deliver through the most appropriate mediums.

To be successful in this role, you will a strong level of Understanding of the principles and types of change management with significant experience in developing approaches for specific situations. A proven experience in conducting change needs and change readiness analyses with corresponding comms / engagement plans for multiple channels that are appropriate given the organisational culture is required with an exposure in conducting failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA). You will be working systematically to resolve problems, identify causes, anticipate implications and make informed decisions. With Excellent verbal and written communication skills, you will have the ability to produce high quality and engaging presentations being a strategic, logical and highly analytical thinker with commercial and financial acumen. Experience in production of artefacts, such a process diagrams, RACIs will be advantageous however it is essential for you to have CMI qualification.
