Henderson Scott is urgently looking for a Cobol Developer to join a leading retailer based in Greater Manchester. This is an initial six-month contract, outside IR35.
We're looking for extensive COBOL Development skills, surrounding technologies include the below Apache Kafka, Apache Camel, Oracle, PL/SQL, C++ and front-end technologies such as React.
Key outputs will include:
- Analysis of technical requirements and writing technical documentation
- Solution analysis and design, creating task breakdown and planning
- Ensuring that all development adheres to defined coding standards/guidelines
Experience of the below is a distinct advantage:
- Java / React development knowledge experience
- Realtime data streaming technologies
- Linux experience
