Counsellor

The post-holder will join the Step 3 therapy provision within Trafford or Wigan Talking Therapies, reporting service. They will be providing humanistic, person centred or integrative counselling to people with common mental health problems across Trafford. or Wigan. Where required they will be expected to undertake appropriate audit, research, and service development activities pertinent to the evaluation and development of the service. The post-holder will adhere to the service standards for clinical activity and work within the procedures, protocols and guidelines for the service. The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary, and should be committed to equal opportunities.
Please note the post is a mixture of Face to Face and remote working. There is also a requirement for working one evening per week which will be in dependant upon the needs of the service, this might be face to face or remote.
Travel throughout the Wigan or Trafford Borough is required.
