**Salary**:£26,845 - £29,568 per anum pro rata
**Hours**:37 hours per week

**Location**:Working from home and any CBC offices, including Priory House, Shefford. You will be expected to attend a CBC office location on a monthly basis, and as needed to carry out your role

**Contract Type**: Hybrid - Fixed Term - 36 Months

**About the role**

The Council faces many strategic, financial and operational risks that can stop it from achieving its goals. Internal Audit take a deep and objective look at the organisation and give independent assurance whether it has the right systems and control processes in place to manage potential threats and that these are operating effectively. You’ll be working on a wide variety of projects, so it’s important that you’re adaptable and highly organised. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential as you’ll be communicating at all levels, often explaining complex information both in meetings and in written reports. An interest in analysing data with good IT skills is desirable.
