The directorate of Respiratory Medicine at WTWA (Wythenshawe, Trafford, Withington & Altrincham) is part of the Respiratory Division (along with the Lung Cancer Directorate).
The directorate holds close links with the University of Manchester and the collaborative partnership generates important research benefiting the scientific community and patients alike.
The directorate works in close collaboration with colleagues in the Lung Cancer and Thoracic Surgical directorate, along with specialist thoracic radiology colleagues.
Successful applicants will join an expert and highly motivated department providing world class respiratory care. Trainees will gain experience in general respiratory medicine as well as subspecialty areas such as Interstitial Lung disease and Sleep and Ventilation. Training will be provided by leading experts in the field of respiratory medicine. Applicants will be encouraged to partake in audits and research and given the opportunity to present both locally and at internationally recognised conferences.
