An opportunity has arisen for activities coordinator to join our wonderful Care home.

You will be tasked with creating and providing a stimulating, varied and enjoyable programme of leisure activities and social events along with our existing coordinator. Your goal is to promote residents independence and enhance the quality their lives. You will consider resident wishes needs and abilities and liaise with the care team.

Duties and Responsibilities.
- Ensuring that all our residents have access to a timetable of meaningful activities and are encouraged to participate.
- Arranging outings and entertainment with agreement from our Home Manager.
- Arranging and planning special occasions such as garden parties and birthday celebrations.
- Working with families to gather life-story information to support person-centered activity care plans.
- Maintaining accurate records of activity for each resident, including social and well-being care plans.
- Ensuring the Home is well stocked with appropriate leisure and recreation equipment.
- Ensuring the health and safety of people who use our services..
- Taking residents into the out community on day visits out and meeting their family.
- Holding a monthly resident meeting and reporting back to the manager
- Produce a weekly activities programme

**Requirements**:
Good communication skills at all levels with an outgoing personality

Ability to organise and plan in advance

Need to be creative resourceful and have powers of encouragement

**Job Types**: 20-25 hours to be discussed interview Monday
- Friday 0930-1500 ( some weekends required)
