**Job Summary**

**CNC Trainee Engineer/Operator **(North Kent / Southeast)

Full-time Immediate Start

A Kent based CNC engineering company is looking for a CNC operator to join our small team, based in Paddock Wood. For the last 36 years the company has supplied precision components to the sub contract market in medium to high batch volumes. In order to increase capacity the company seeks a full time engineer immediately.

We are located 400m from Paddock Wood mainline train station.

**General Requirements**

The Role (training will be provided)

Main tasks
- Loading CNC machines

Other tasks
- Monitor cutting tools and ensure they are in good condition; insure equipment is calibrated and maintained.
- Machine components to conform to customer drawings and requirements.
- Assist cell leaders in carrying out their duties.
- Insure the quality of personal work produced. Including in cycle measuring.
- Adhere to completion schedules (often involving overtime).
- Help in other departments such as goods inwards/outwards
- Adhere to Health and Safety policy

- Workshop based
- 40 hours per week
- Potential for enhanced pay on shift work
- 30mins for lunch 2x 15min breaks morning and afternoon
- Overtime available

**Required Education, Skills and Qualifications**

GCSE pass

Maths and English

**Benefits**

**Salary**: £10.00-£12.00 per hour
