Operations Planner

The site operations planner will be accountable for preparing, coordinating, monitoring, and recording planned maintenance works assisting in capital projects across the site. A key aspect of the role will be the provision of detailed reports to support the Asset Care Team in its continuous improvement activities. Monthly updates on R&M and capital project spend.
- Drive advanced work preparation of selected prioritised jobs for efficient execution, survey works in advance to gauge operational requirements, constraints, resourcing, etc
- Compile weekly schedule based on preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance backlog and job requests - adhere to statutory compliance window
- Co-ordinate inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring availability of critical items, parts availability before scheduling work, and procurement of non-stock materials
- Ensure a safe work procedure exists and is available to the team for implementation. Ensure safety documentation is linked to Assets and PMs within Maximo
- Assist in planning of work with relevant stakeholders, managing a Permit to Work system where required, co-ordinate and plan access to any restricted areas with third party stakeholders
- Ensure consistent delivery of the process so that required resources and technicians are allocated to the ready backlog of work, determining the equipment is available when required for maintenance
- Coordinate contractor site attendance, access permits, awareness briefings, and communicating work being undertaken in conjunction with the site team
- Ensure all data that enters the MAXIMO is accurate and concise to maximize reporting capabilities.
- Deliver reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis on overall performance
- Act as a Maximo ‘Master User’ to identify misuse/incorrect use concerning work activities entry
- Analyse asset performance utilizing maintenance and financial metrics, systems (including MAXIMO), and tools and make recommendations as appropriate for continuous improvement
- Review safe work procedures periodically or should change arise and update accordingly
- Maintain records to demonstrate full compliance with statutory and other external requirements (statutory, insurance, quality management, etc.)
