Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper

Working in practice as part of a small team seven you will be given a portfolio of clients to manage their day-to-day bookkeeping. The client base we have is varied but all clients follow a structured process using Xero, HubDoc and DEXT. We aim to keep our clients accounts up to date as close to real-time as possible so regular communication with the client is key.

Key Tasks
- Managing day to day processing of clients paperwork
- Regular Bank Reconciliation
- VAT Returns
- CIS Returns
- Prepayments & Accruals
- Management Accounts
- Good knowledge of Xero
- Good knowledge of DEXT
- Understanding of payroll processes
- Regular communication with clients as appropriate.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From £25,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 per week

- No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Brighton: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Certificate of Higher Education (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Accounting: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Xero Certified Advisor (required)
- AAT Level 2 (required)
