**Responsibilities**:

- The business operates 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year and will be covered by a variety of shift patterns. Applicants will be required to work a flexible pattern of rostered shifts including nights.
- Shifts may involve an occasional requirement to travel and work at other locations (within driving distance of Heathrow Airport).

.To share the duty manager / supervisor phone
- Attend private Jet landings with pets on board at London Luton Airport
- Assist with pet checking duties at the USAF base in Mildenhall.
- Cater to husbandry needs of dogs, cats, ferrets, reptiles, birds, small mammals daily.
- The checking and processing of live animal travel documentation.
- The preparation and handling of live animal consignments arriving at the Heathrow Airport Animal Reception Centre.
- The checking and issue of clearances for Recognised Assistance Dogs arriving at Heathrow Airport with their owners.
- Driving ‘airside’ at Heathrow Airport, as required.
- Manual Handling.
- Cleaning of animal kennels and Animal Reception Centre facilities.
- Assisting stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and customers, as required.

**Essential Criteria**:

- A minimum of 12 months experience of working with animals.
- A ‘clean’ continuous employment history dating back 5 years.
- A satisfactory CRC background check.
- A full, clean driving licence (manual transmission).
- You will be required to undergo security clearance and be vaccinated against rabies for this role.

**Desirable**:

- A recognised educational qualification in Animal Management or equivalent.
- An understanding of the Pet travel scheme, non-compliances, non-commercial and commercial bookings.
- An understanding of airport/cargo security - CCA

This a fantastic opportunity for an animal welfare-driven professional to streamline operations at our new facility and be heavily involved in operations at our London Luton site. The role is varied, and you will be tasked with organising private jet arrivals with animals on board when requested.

Full training will be given, you will be required to attend London Gatwick (LGW), London Luton (LTN) and be on shift at London Heathrow (LHR) while you are trained on Pet checking.
