**Purpose of the role**
Your role will be key in supporting Green Hat Consulting to meet our growing geographical coverage of Clients.
This role is to provide H&S inspection services to Green Hat Consulting clients.
You will be required to visit our clients work premise and sites to make sure that people are safe from danger and that they follow health and safety rules. This role is to protect employees and the public against hazards, and to improve health and safety standards and ensure that our clients are following and adhering to H&S regulations and requirement.
This person, will be adaptable, organised, strong communicator and client focused.
As an associate of Green Hat Consulting you will be representing Green Hat Consulting at all times and ensuring that Clients comply with all aspects of health and safety laws, and that workplaces are not the cause of ill health, injury, or death and where items do not meet requirements this will be documented, and client informed.
You are required to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of existing and new legislation of health and safety standards.
You will be required to author reports on results of inspections and investigations and complete detailed paperwork and determine if actions are required and provide details.
You will need to be able undertake any physical elements of the role such as ability to climb ladders and stairs. There will also be inspections that take place outdoors.
This role will also require you to provide advice and guidance, and influence employers and others to take responsibility for reducing risks and encourage employers to provide safety training.
**Key Responsibilities**
A health and safety inspector is a professional that ensures various organisations comply with health and safety laws. They visit workplaces to inspect the environment, procedures and processes to check the business follows all aspects of the laws and make recommendations to improve workplace safety.
- Pre-Construction Information for new build developments
- Risk assessments
- Technical inspections and surveys
- Compliance Audits
- Health and Safety inspections
- Risk Assessments and Method Statements
- Advice and support to clients on health and safety and the CDM regulations;
- Provide high quality health, safety and environmental services;
- Carrying out health and safety inspections;
- Advise and instruct clients in the use of Health and Safety Management systems
- Managing and representing a portfolio of clients.

**Professional Skills/Experience and Qualifications Required**:
- Good understanding and use of excel which involves formatting of data to ensure correct presentation of completed site inspection reports
- Use of I auditor to produce site inspection reports
- Health & Safety trainer qualifications would be of benefit;
- Ideally NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6 Diploma In Occupational Health & Safety
- with experience within construction ;
- Hold a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card
- IOSH accreditation to GradIOSH
- Maintaining of personal CPD
