**Factory Manager?- Food Manufacturing**

**Location: Fife, Scotland
£70-90,000 + Car Allowance?+ Bonus + Private Healthcare + relocation considered

**The role**:
To ensure that a safe working environment exists for all employees in their operation and that as a minimum their area meets the standards set out in the Group Health & Safety policy.

To ensure standards of quality, food safety, hygiene and housekeeping within their factory operation appropriate to a quality food manufacturer.

Inputs, understands and translates the manufacturing strategy into a 'living’ Factory Operational Plan which is clearly understood and owned by their team.

Manages the NPD process within their factory operation to ensure that all trials run successfully and through to product launch.

Owns training and development and performance management of individuals within their factory operation to enable progression to resource growth or to replace current roles, and to ensure that the necessary skills are in place at all levels.

Utilise appropriate agreed KPIs as a basis for the development of Performance Improvement Plans within the Factory Operation and cascade these KPIs through the Factory Operational Team, ensuring that they are translated and used at all levels.

Support and develop a culture within their factory operation where individuals feel able to challenge the status quo and encourage feedback from all levels. Support and implement change processes within their area in line with the company values.

Proactively looks at ways to improve their factory operation. A key player in delivering the agreed factory capital expenditure plans within the agreed factory budget.

Coach and develop the management team to delver exceptional results for the organisation

Responsible for partnering with the broader business networks to implement objectives that drive performance and achieve business results.

Analyse, evaluate, and manage various plant performance indicators, such as line efficiencies, budget variance and product quality measures.

Provide feedback to employees on performance; correct deficiencies and highlight strengths.

Communicate with local and corporate staff on operational status; recommend improvements in techniques and methods of operations, developing rationale and implementation strategy.

Create and maintain positive Employee relations; working closely with HR to evaluate grievance activity and determine what corrective action is necessary.
**The person**:
Degree educated and progressive Production leadership experience gained within an FMCG organisation

Experience of leading a team of at least 200+

Able to interact effectively with all levels of the organisation

Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer focus

Strong business acumen and leadership skills

Ability to influence, provide leadership, work in a team environment or independently

Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite, SAP and other computer programs as required

Innovative spirit through confidence, learning and focus on the future.
