Grantham, United Kingdom Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust Full time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Practitioner to join the Lincolnshire Countywide Community Respiratory Team (CCRT).

Two full time posts are available due to service development. You must have experience working with COPD and other chronic respiratory patients and have a passion to develop your existing knowledge and skills and shape the current existing service, continuing to raise the identity and provide high quality respiratory care throughout the community. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and conscientious practitioner to join the existing team on a permanent basis.

The post holder will support the Senior Respiratory Specialists in their role. They will carry their own respiratory caseload of patients that require specialist intervention, and perform respiratory and holistic assessment and high quality, effective evidence-based treatment of these patients with diverse, complex and multi-system pathologies. They will provide assessment and treatment of patients requiring acute respiratory assessment, early and routine supported discharge, oxygen therapy and complex case management where and when appropriate, and also support the delivery of pulmonary rehabilitation when required. The post holder will also be professionally responsible for any staff working under them, providing clinical guidance and support.

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust is in the top 25 per cent of all community trusts for overall staff engagement in the 2021 NHS National Staff Survey.

LCHS recognises the increasing demand for more flexibility in working practices in order to accommodate the personal goals and commitments that employees experience at different stages during their working lives. Flexible working opportunities such as part-time working, compressed hours, job shares, and hybrid working models can help staff to balance their personal and work commitments. Arrangements can be put in place if it can be shown that the needs of the individual can be balanced with those of the service and the impact on other team members, enabling the Trust to recruit and retain skilled staff, raise staff morale, reduce absenteeism and respond to changing service needs more effectively.

The successful applicant will be part of our multi-disciplinary respiratory team which consists of Respiratory Nurse Specialists, Respiratory Physiotherapists, Physiotherapy Assistants and Assistant Practitioners. You will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You must be able to prioritize tasks and manage your time effectively and be able to work flexibly within the team and be confident in completing individual tasks.

The base for this post is flexible depending upon the successful applicant but will be required to travel around the area within which you are based. This post requires that you have the ability to travel between locations to carry out your work and to attend training and meetings; daily access to transport is therefore essential. If you are motivated, enthusiastic, need a challenge and have respiratory background then we would like to hear from you.
