Senior Digital ASIC Design engineer required for a leading global manufacturing company that have five decades of experience within their niche field. The Digital ASIC design group provides embedded digital systems and firmware for integration into mixed-signalICs, working in cross-disciplinary teams to take products from initial specification through to start of production. This is a varied role, requiring contributions across the whole design cycle from requirements to production test.

The responsibilities of this role include taking a lead in creating future products by designing digital SoC ASICs, with VHDL and Verilog, modelling and verifying mixed analog and digital designs, testing and validating with low level C software routines,scripting tests and utilities in Python, bash, and Tcl on Linux, running synthesis, floor-planning, and timing and power analysis. You will be responsible for defining the design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development and developing the architecturedesign, logic design, and system simulation. You will advise on the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits and evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level design to synthesis, place and route,and timing and power use.

The role:
*Define the design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development

*Develop the architecture design, logic design, and system simulation

*Lead the evaluation of the module interfaces/formats for simulation

*Lead the analysis of equipment to establish operation data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results

*Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level design to synthesis, place and route, timing, and power use.

The Person:
*Proficient in VHDL and/or Verilog for synthesizable RTL design, their synthesis and behavioural system simulations

*Able to understand and modify C in an embedded environment

*Able to write code and scripts in languages such as Python, Tcl, bash, Perl or similar

*Familiar with using advances IC design tools and methodologies

*Familiar with automotive standards such as MISRA-C, TS 16949, and ISO26262 or similar
