**Calling all storytellers Do you have experience in arts and heritage? Do you have knowledge of the RSC and Shakespeare? Do you have a passion for delivering quality information? Are flexible and able to respond to changing situations?**

The RSC are looking for Theatre Guides to capture our guest's imagination by delivering a variety of tours. Whether you're spilling the secrets of our theatre making process or taking people on a journey through our past, you'll be able to confidently speak in front of and engage a variety of different customers. A keen learner, you will be eager to keep up to date with our ever-changing tour information and can seamlessly adapt to situations as they arise.

As a Theatre Guide some of your duties will be:

- To present the highest quality information on the building, company, its history, past and current productions.
- To adapt the content of the Tours to a suitable level acceptable to the members of the group.
- To ensure the safety of the patrons and the RSC's property, taking into account any specific instructions on the safety of the premises available.
- To proactively contribute to the standards and practice of the RSC's Health & Safety policy.
- To aid visitors in the event of any emergency to evacuate the building following instructions from the Duty Manager or Person in Charge.
- To adapt the content of the Tours to provide information on specialist areas of interest as appropriate.
- To host VIP and bespoke tour packages as required.
- Be knowledgeable about the current productions.
- Be infectious, inspirational, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Flexibility in terms of working patterns.
- An ability to communicate well with large groups of people from different backgrounds.
- Ability to act with integrity and observe confidentiality.
- Adaptable verbal communication skills.
- Flexible attitude and ability to work under frequently changing conditions.
- A willingness to continually update personal knowledge.
- A passion to proactively deliver exceptional customer service.
- Good time keeping

This is a variable, fixed term position for 6 months and is based in Stratford-upon-Avon. You should be available for up to 12 hours per week and weekend working is essential in this role so you should be available to work a reasonable number of weekends.
