Enovert is one of the UK’s leading providers of waste management services. Our primary operations include 12 operational landfill sites, 2 composting facilities and 3 waste transfer stations across which Enovert manages in excess of 2.3 million tonnes of waste per annum. In addition, Enovert are a significant generator of renewable energy and provide services for the management and aftercare of landfill sites.

Kim, our Senior Sales Manager is looking to recruit an experienced Waste Assessor to join her team. The key job purpose for our Waste Assessor is to assess technical data/site investigations from our customers to determine material acceptance into all Enovert’s sites and to review sampling results from material disposed of and implement corrective action where necessary.

**Working as a Waste Assessor you will**:
1. Demonstrate an awareness and understanding of Waste Legislation, Environmental Permits and waste acceptance procedures

2. Build and develop successful relationships with external customers and assist with assessment queries

3. Assess suitable waste management options (disposal / restoration / treatment) of customer enquiries by undertaking waste assessment in accordance with current technical guidance and comparison to in house waste threshold values

4. Ensure reports and documentation relating to reports is retained for ease of retrieval in the event of auditing

5. Ensure waste acceptance is in accordance with waste management licence/permit for each site.

6. To identify waste types and understand what is deemed acceptable to all sites according to legislation and the environmental permit

7. Ensure accuracy of transfer notes and consignment notes via communication with the Weighbridge Staff in accordance with the Waste Acceptance Procedures and Duty of Care

8. Assist in the development of Waste Sampling Plans for incoming waste

9. Liaise with sites and laboratory for the scheduling of compliance samples

10. Assessment of analytical compliance data and follow up of any corrective action required

11. Assist operation staff with any compliance issues

12. Notify any non-compliant material to the Waste Acceptance Manager.

13. Assist the Waste Acceptance Manager in submission of reports and information for use internally and by the Regulator

14. Update Waste Solutions Team on sampling variations and compliance issues with incoming waste streams

15. To support the Senior Sales Manager to ensure that all customer enquiries are actioned in a timely manner and in accordance with the company policies, procedures and controls.
