We have a rare opportunity as a Yard Operative located for a well-known Manufacturer and supplier of Excavator machinery, located in the Rochdale area. You will be responsible for the loading and unloading of heavy plant machinery in and around the warehouse.Ensuring all machinery are fully serviced and ready for delivery for clients.

**Working hours**:
Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm

£22880 per annum (£11 per hour)

2x15 min paid breaks an 1x60 min unpaid lunch

**Role and responsibilities of a Yard Operative**
- Unloading and loading of all excavator machinery, moving around the warehouse using a forklift truck
- Preparing machines for delivery
- Completing all relevant documentation and PDI’s (Pre Delivery Inspection)
- Carrying out Health and Safety checks on machines

**Skills and experience of a Yard Operative**
- Keen eye for detail
- Physically fit due to this role being a physically demanding role
- Experience with driving Excavators - Desirable
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to move plant machinery on and off containers in line with all health and safety procedures
