Billing Administrator

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a **Billing Administrator** to join the team based in **Luton.**You will be joining on a **full-time, permanent basis**and in return, you will receive a **competitive salary**.
**About the Billing Administrator role**:
The primary function of the Billing Administrator is to support the Credit Control team to collect cash, to manage and resolve billing queries in a timely manner and to allocate incoming cash to the correct company ledgers.
**Your responsibilities as their Billing Administrator will include**:
- Responsible for managing billing queries across our group of businesses, which will range from simple to more complex queries.
- Understand key drivers for queries and work with the business to improve internal processes and controls leading to a reduction in the number of outstanding queries.
- Support the Credit Control team to achieve dynamic collection and debt targets.
- To use business appropriate and high quality written and verbal communication with internal and external customers
- Support the management of any escalated debt challenges
- Management of credit requests and daily cash allocation
- Assist, when required, with the creation of new accounts on the company software systems.
- Support other members of the wider Finance Team when requested.
- Other tasks which may be assigned from time to time, and which contribute to the overall success of the Company
**What they're looking for in their Billing Administrator**:
- Genuine interest in Billing and Credit control
- Previous experience of working within a high-volume transaction business.
- Some reconciliation experience
- Ideally recruitment agency experience
- Role ideally supports someone at Finance Assistant level or above
- Experience (desirable) with the following systems: Eclipse, Sage 200, Self-Billing platforms
- Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels
- A degree of financial acumen
- Ability to reconcile complex accounts and have excellent attention to detail
- Competence with accounting software programmes
- Minimum intermediate level of Excel skills (including knowledge of Pivot tables)
- A can-do attitude, with a particular passion to get a task completed
- Happy to work with large volumes of data
- Calm organised and confident manner with an ability to manage conflict and have straight forward conversations
- The ability to work to tight deadlines, demonstrating a proactive, problem-solving approach
- Must be flexible and open to meeting the companies changing priorities when required
