Steel Fabricator role (Spiral Ducting)

Position: Permanent, full-time,

hourly rate increases after probation period

We have a great opportunity for an Operative to produce spirally wound tube of the highest quality using “Spiro” spiral forming machine.

You will ensure

that all lock seams are “tight”, that “end treatment” renders the product safe to handle and

complies with specification and tolerances. You will maintain and replenish the stock to ensure customers’ demands are met and delivery requirements

Liaising with the senior management and Sales team to complete project orders, you will be required to have a good understanding of Health & Safety and look to maintain high standards in this aspect of the business, always keeping the work areas and machinery clean and tidy and ensuring that you adhere to the company’s H&S policy.

**Counterbalance forklift experience is essential for the role** **and training to secure this licence can be offered as part of the full training if required.**

You will be a logical thinker who can use your mechanical skills to solve problems and work to deadlines along with carrying out light planned preventative maintenance on the machine to compliment the scheduled yearly service agreement/visit in place with the machine’s manufacturer.

Our Client is looking for an individual who is keen to learn new skills and have a proactive approach to work, working within a small team they expect the individual to be able to adapt and be willing to help others complete tasks that require multiple persons to complete, such as 2 person lifts of stock, including loading and unloading delivery vehicles.

Working hours of Monday to Thursday 8am - 16:45pm with a half hour unpaid lunch break and Friday 8am - 13:00pm.

**Salary**: £15.00-£17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
