**The School**

Geography, located within the School of Humanities, is an ambitious and growing academic unit. Our undergraduate provision intentionally works across the traditional human/physical divide, with our BSc Geography, BA Human Geography and BSc Environmental Geography degrees. In September 2023 we are launching a new, interdisciplinary MA Environment & Social Justice, working with colleagues across the School and beyond. We aim to offer an inclusive, supportive environment for all our geographers, students and staff.

**The Role**

We are looking to appoint a lecturer with expertise in cultural geography, to join the Geography team for a fixed term (parental leave cover) of five months. Teaching is expected to include a Level 5 ‘Landscape and Culture’ module, Level 6 ‘Nature/Culture’ (human geographies of nature) module and/or contributing to the new MA. Your work will involve teaching in a variety of settings, assessment, and the provision of academic and pastoral support to students, including supervising undergraduate dissertations. Teaching may include a requirement to attend a short residential field trip within the UK. The successful applicant will hold a doctoral level qualification or be near to completion.
