**What you’ll be doing**:
- Supporting growth, business as usual and transformation initiatives
- Understanding the profile and strategic goals of the DF&S sector and deliver an excellent commercial service to achieve those goals in line with Capita standards
- Partnering and collaborating with senior management teams, and internal/ external delivery partners, to provide pragmatic and viable solutions to commercial issues that arise.
- Building strong collaborative relationships with customer and supplier commercial teams
- Managing contract obligations on key contracts and across the sector
- Being seen by the business as a trusted partner to assist with ad-hoc contract queries and advice
- Promoting a close working relationship between the business and the commercial team
- Identifying risks and opportunities, proposing appropriate solutions and mitigations
- Managing change control and tasking order requests to maximise the commercial opportunities
- Advising and assisting with relevant legislative changes (such as Data Protection)
- Ensuring all Capita Group commercial governance is embedded into the sector (CRC, IWAF, CAPOL etc.)
- Defining & overseeing adherence to commercial policies & procedures
**What we’re looking for**:
- Experienced commercial individual who has track record in managing highly complex and/or highly strategic contracts
- Extensive commercial and contracts experience and demonstrable track record of owning and delivering pre
- and post-contract commercial activity
- Experienced in managing commercial & contract governance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team player
- Collaborative working style focussed on engagement
- A strong influencer and demonstrate proven ability to provide credible, pragmatic and commercial solutions to business problems. Ability to find win win solutions where possible.
- Deals with conflict in a positive manner and without damaging relationships, demonstrating resilience and a high degree of commercial technical knowledge/ business acumen to educate and guide senior managers.
- Ability to use analytical data for decision making.
- Ability to manage a high demand workload and prioritise effectively in time-bound situations.
- Ability to work flexibly over a wide geographical area (where required) and experience of working in a multi-site/mobile capacity. Must be comfortable working from home for prolonged periods
